Evangelist deal with a paradoxical situation in which the world is secular yet longing for a supernatural spirituality and the world thinks that Christianity is one of many religions or just another myth. Often it is the exclusiveness of the Gospel (Jesus Christ is the only way) that puts some people off, especially in a politically correct world that teaches tolerance. Do not be mistaken, it is a world that teaches tolerance yet practices none for Christians.

Given this paradox, Evangelist, remember every Christian is commanded to be an Evangelist, must have an answer for the unbeliever that addresses the failure of spirituality. We must ask what have they gained from this spirituality, and ask how this spirituality has covered their sin. Sin is an unpopular subject, but the recognition of sin and the need for covering forgiveness is the truth of the message of Christ.

Will we wait for the unbeliever to come to the conclusion that they are a sinner and need Christ, or will we actively carry the Gospel message of sin and forgiveness? Waiting is easier, but it is not evangelism. Will we wait or will we walk as commanded?
