The Bible addresses the training of our children and here are four verses. God also has many promises for those that get wisdom and understanding. It is with Biblical training that our children receive this wisdom and understanding.
Biblically the parents have the responsibility for the training of children, not the government or the church. In Proverbs 22.6 there is a promise from God, if we teach our children His word, our children will not depart from His word. All we need to do is be faithful in the teaching and God will be faithful in the keeping.
Psalm 78.5For he established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their children: That the generation to come might know them, even the children which should be born; who should arise and declare them to their children: That they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandment.
Joel 1:3Tell ye your children of it, and let your children tell their children, and their children another generation.
2 Timothy 2:2And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.
Proverbs 22.6Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.
