Moral Relativism is now the thinking of the day…in both the unbelieving world and among Christians. Moral Relativism has and is being taught in our school system in many different ways but generally under the guise of tolerance. This teaching of tolerance has affected how Christians see the Bible. Are Christians Moral Relativist? The latest George Barna study on the Christian world says that two-thirds of Christians do not believe that every word of the Bible is true. Is this important?
Instead of a philosophical argument, let me advance three simple questions.
- Do you know of anyone or have you ever read of any one person that you would agree could define the truth by which you would live your life?
- Do you believe that you could define the truth by which you and all of future mankind could successfully live by?
- Do you think it is okay for others to lie, steal, kill, and hurt you and others?
If you answered no to all three, than you need a moral law-giver and it could only be God for you have just agreed that man is incapable. A perfect God could not write a single untrue word.
