The Six Reasons for the Tribulation

24 “Seventy weeks (490 years) are decreed about your people and your holy city, to (1) finish the transgression, to (2) put an end to sin, and to (3) atone for iniquity, to (4) bring in everlasting righteousness, to (5) seal both vision and prophet, and to (6) anoint a most holy place.

The Length of Time before the Tribulation

25 Know therefore and understand that from the going out of the word to restore and build Jerusalem to the coming of an anointed one, a prince, there shall be seven weeks (49 years). Then for sixty-two weeks (434 years) it shall be built again with squares and moat, but in a troubled time.

The Description of the Tribulation and Christ’s Death

26 And after the sixty-two weeks, an anointed (Jesus Christ) one shall be cut off and shall have nothing. And the people of the prince (Anti-Christ) who is to come shall destroy the city (Jerusalem) and the sanctuary (Temple). Its end shall come with a flood, and to the end there shall be war (Armageddon). Desolations are decreed.

The 7 Year Tribulation

27 And he (Anti-Christ) shall make a strong covenant with many (Israel) for one week, and for half of the week (31/2 Years) he shall put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of abominations shall come one who makes desolate, until the decreed end (31/2 Years) is poured out on the desolator.”
