Take 1000 Christians …  Take a congregation of 1,000 Christians; divide them into 5 classes, according to the ages when they became Christians. Of this thousand, there would probably be: 548 converted under 20 years old; 337 between 20–30; 96 between 30–40; 15 between 40–50; 3 between 50–60; and 1 between 60–70.

After Age 35 Dr. M. R. de Haan once quoted these startling figures: “After the age of 35 only one person in 50,000 receives Christ; after 45 only one in 300,000; and after 75 only one in 700,000 is converted.”

History Of 253 Converts  Dr. Horatius Bonar said concerning the spiritual history of 253 converts with whom he was familiar. “Saved under 20 years of age, 138; between 20 and 30 years, 85; between 30 and 40 years, 22; between 40 and 50 years, 4; between 50 and 60, 3; between 60 and 70 years, 1; over seventy, NOT ONE!”
