In the beginning, there was no light.

Ge 1:1 In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. Ge 1:2 The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.

God’s first act was to create light.

Ge 1:3 And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. Ge 1:4 And God saw that the light was good. And God separated the light from the darkness. Ge 1:5 God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day.

After the tribulation, again there will be no light.

Mt 24:29 “Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

Jesus Christ will return to Earth in His glory.

Mt 25:31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne.

God’s glory is His light. (The Shekinah Glory)

Re 21:23 And the city has no need of sun or moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and its lamp is the Lamb.

For the righteous there will be no more darkness.

Re 22:5 And night will be no more. They will need no light of lamp or sun, for the Lord God will be their light, and they will reign forever and ever.

For the unrighteous there will be darkness forever.

Mt 25:30 And cast the worthless servant into the outer darkness. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’
