We must understand that God is infinite and Christians are as finite as atheist. Both the mind and the flesh of the believer and the atheist are sinful, but sin does not keep anyone from understanding where Truth is found. You may not know all Truth, but you can know where all Truth is derived.
The atheists think that they understand Truth, and therefore they are not looking to God for Truth. But, Truth can only be understood if you understand where Truth is derived. The atheist believes that it is derived by the reasoning of man.
Christians are sinners, but they are sinners with the knowledge of their sin. Atheists are sinners lost in their sin. The difference is in the work of the Holy Spirit. Christians know they cannot be good enough and atheists believe and hope in their own goodness.
Salvation is of God, faith is in Christ, learning is by the Holy Spirit, wisdom is in the Word, and Truth lies in knowing this. If your salvation is of God then Truth is of God, therefore how would the atheist know Truth.
Without saving faith, everyone is without.
Heb 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.
An atheist has no grief for God, because to an atheist God is a stranger.
2 Co 7:10 For godly grief produces a repentance that leads to salvation without regret, whereas worldly grief produces death.
We all were strangers once.
Eph 2:12 remember that you were at that time separated from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.
There is hope in the wisdom of faith.
1 Pe 1:21 who through him are believers in God, who raised him from the dead and gave him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.
Pr 24:14 Know that wisdom is such to your soul; if you find it, there will be a future, and your hope will not be cut off.
