The June 10th post speaks of “peace” as defined in the Bible. Today’s post is a follow up to that post. The peace that we seek is found and kept by prayer. The one thing that most of us find hard to set time aside for is prayer, but the one thing the scriptures emphasize is prayer.
“Pray through” is one of the best pieces of advice that I have ever received. Pray, just pray and keep on praying. Then hold on, the answer is coming; you may not even be able to recognize the answer at first, or it may come so clear as to shock you, and then again, you may not even see that you received an answer until you look back in thankfulness.
Philipians 4:4-7 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. 5 Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; 6 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.Amen
