Pray Early

My mind is better prepared when I commit my morning to prayer. The Psalms offer ample evidence that King David understood this essential practice as well:

•   “In the morning, LORD, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly” (Psa 5:3).

•   “I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble” (Psa 59:16).

•   “O God, You are my God; Early will I seek You” (Psa 63:1 NKJV).

•   “But I cry to you for help, LORD; in the morning my prayer comes before you” (Psa 88:13).[1]

Jesus prayed early

Mk 1:35 And rising very early in the morning, while it was still dark, he departed and went out to a desolate place, and there he prayed.
