When Jesus answered a parable and was told that the Pharisees were offended, this verse was His answer.

Matt15.13 He answered, “Every plant that my heavenly Father has not planted will be rooted up. 14 Let them alone; they are blind guides. And if the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a pit.”

This verse gives us some insight into how someone can proclaim Christ and then go about living an unchristian life. This verse also explains how people come to belief and then fall away. Furthermore this verse explains many ministries built upon the teaching of health and wealth. The Pharisees held themselves above everyone: the poor and the sick. They sincerely believed that ailments were a sign of sin and that wealth was a sign of blessing demonstrating God’s approval.

God plants, waters, and reaps, and He also provides us tender care; but not always health or wealth.
