Order

Should you build a sand castle, the wind and rain will in time turn it back into a sand pile. The castle is grains of sand arraigned in a certain order which is called in science “high order”. High order has no chance of maintaining itself over time; in other words it will not stay a sand castle very long before it returns to being grains of sand with low order.

Take an equal amount of sand and just pour it on the ground; there is no order…this is low order. The sand poured out will remain random grains of sand for a very long time. This is the opposite of the sand castle which always deteriorates back into random grains of sand. Things in the universe go from a high order to a low order. This is a law of the universe that all agree on… unless order is constantly maintained; things will deteriorate. Yet we see high order design in the fundamental building blocks of life.

Why do we see high order design in every building block of life from the molecular level on up? And this high order continues while everything that man creates always turns back into disorder. The answer is very simple; God designed the universe and all life in it. God created by design everything and everything is maintained by God. Col1.16 For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. 17 And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

Because we see the body deteriorate and we see man made things deteriorate, we think that there is disorder everywhere. Though many things in life may deteriorate, the fundamental design of creation maintains its order without any input from man. Man cannot maintain the climate cycle, gravity, the orbits of the planets, and the list is too numerous to even attempt to name. We live in a finely tuned and highly ordered universe not made by hands.
