My Old Friend Job

Job had no Bible. The Book of Job is considered the oldest book of the Bible; not the first book of the Bible, but the oldest. Scholars believed that Job lived at the times of the building of the pyramids. Job had no Bible; in fact Job is seen in these verses wishing that his words were made into a book and preserved…Job did get his wish.

With no Bible, Old or New Testament, Job knew that there was a God, that his soul would be redeemed, that his redeemer would stand on the earth, that even though his body would be destroyed he would get a resurrected body, and that he would see God face to face.

With our Bible we know everything, yet many have nothing. Job had nothing and knew everything. God does not leave Himself without a witness. AMEN.

Job19.23 Oh that my words were written!

Oh that they were inscribed in a book!

24   Oh that with an iron pen and lead

they were engraved in the rock forever!

25   For I know that my Redeemer lives,

and at the last he will stand upon the earth.

26   And after my skin has been thus destroyed,

yet in my flesh I shall see God,

27   whom I shall see for myself,

and my eyes shall behold, and not another.

My heart faints within me!
