It is a well known fact that Christians on the whole tend to be more conservative than non-Christians. It is also a known fact that college professors tend to be liberal and atheist. Therefore it should no surprise that the professors see college as their church. Our children are not well taught and when they get to the atheists church they are given hours upon hours of indoctrination. Now we do not need to give our children an equal amount of hours of instruction; we just need to give them the truth. The Secret Service does not study counterfeit bills they only study the real thing and when a counterfeit is encountered it is easily recognized. The same is true of the Bible and God’s message.

According to a George Barna study 75 percent of our children renounce their faith after going off to college. The statistics show that only 6 percent of unsaved adults ever accept Christ as their Lord and Savior. Given that we lose 75 percent and get back 6 percent, we can calculate that we are losing forever 70 percent of our children. This is a pandemic of loss of faith. The odds are 70 percent that we will not see our children in Heaven.

Intellectual skepticism is the reason our children have trouble holding fast to the truth. The professors need not convince our children, they only need to cause doubt. Teaching the truth without teaching the ability to defend the truth has been a great mistake on the part of Churches and parents. My New Year’s resolution is to continue to try to reach families through fathers and arm them with knowledge, not the knowledge of this world, but the knowledge for eternity. The kind of knowledge that will allow each parent to spend eternity with their children and their children and so on…the truth is addicting we only need to expose ourselves to it.
