My Mother went to Heaven at 3am yesterday, she was 84 years old.
Let me share a story with you that I was thinking of about my Mom. My Mother taught the small children's Sunday school class for many years and during those years she could barely read and write.
There was one little boy that would always go to the Sunday school class door and look in for my Mom, and if he did not see her he would not go in. He told his mother that his Sunday school teacher was not in the room. His mother would tell him that she would be there soon, yet he would always refuse to go in until my Mom was there.
On Sundays when my Mother had to stay home with one of us and there was a substitute, the little boy would look in and tell his mother that his teacher was not there and he was not going in. No matter the amount of coaxing by his mother and the substitute the little boy would not go in and his mother would have to take him to her class. This is how much he loved my Mom.
How many little boys and girls were brought into the faith by mother who could barely read and write, but just taught the story of Heavenly love that she knew and shared?
