Matt13.57 And they took offense at him. But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his hometown and in his own household.” 58 And he did not do many mighty works there, because of their unbelief.
These verses speak of Jesus in His own community. Because He did find unbelief, He was unable to do “many mighty works”. What does the “did not do” mean? Was it because He chose not to, or was it because unbelief disallowed Him to do any mighty works?
Often time’s believers claim that they cannot see God working in their lives, and unbelievers say they have never experienced a miracle. So what is the answer? First the believer must become mature in their faith, and secondly the unbeliever must understand that outside of common grace their unbelief inhibits the acts of blessings that God would want for them.
