There are seven statements in Scripture about justification: (1) We are justified by God (Rom 8:33); (2) by grace (Rom3:24); (3) by blood (Rom5:9); (4) by the resurrection (Rom4:25); (5) by faith (Rom5:1); (6) by words (Mt. 12:37); and (7) by works (Jas. 2:21).
Ro 8:33 Who shall bring any charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies.
Ro 3:24 and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,
Ro 5:9 Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God.
Ro 4:25 who was delivered up for our trespasses and raised for our justification.
Ro 5:1 Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Mt 12:37 for by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”
Jas 2:21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered up his son Isaac on the altar?
