Christianity has been very involved in politics in the last three decades, and the times have only gotten worse. Christians today are even more worried than ever before; asking what we shall do. The Bible says that there is a time for silence. It sounds odd to think that this would be a time of silence. Ecclesiastes does say there is a time to keep silent. The Bible even tells who ought to be silent and when.
Ec 3:7 a time to tear, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak…
Am 5:13 Therefore he who is prudent will keep silent in such a time, for it is an evil time.
Who: the prudent
When: in a time of evil
The Bible clearly states that Christians are to speak the Gospel at all times, but the Bible also states that Christians should think brotherly love and not get involved in strife.
1 Th 4:11 and to aspire to live quietly, and to mind your own affairs, and to work with your hands, as we instructed you,
Pr 20:3 It is an honor for a man to keep aloof from strife, but every fool will be quarreling.
Every Christian must remember that God has prepared these times for His purpose.
Ps 57:2 I cry out to God Most High, to God who fulfills his purpose for me.
Re 17:17 for God has put it into their hearts to carry out his purpose by being of one mind and handing over their royal power to the beast, until the words of God are fulfilled.
