Seven Things About Confusion

By Fred Myers

#233 Seven Things About Confusion I am Fred Myers the founder of For the Fathers Ministry, and this is Faith by the Numbers. Count your way to wisdom in number two hundred thirty-three of this series, Seven Things About Confusion. The Bible clearly states in 1 Corinthians 14.33 that God is not a God of confusion. But, God does return confusion on those that create chaos by their evil deeds. The Bible also states in Isaiah 19.14 that there is a spirit of confusion, and God sends that spirit wherever He wills. The Bible demonstrates many times that God will use the elements of evil to overthrow evil. Throughout the history of the world mankind has blamed unexpected confusion on God, but God clearly reveals that those who do evil create their own confusion. Seven Things About Confusion: God is not a God of confusion but of peace. Confusion was over the face of the deep at creation. There was confusion in the beginning and there will be confusion before the day of judgment. God used confusion to divide the people at the Tower of Babel. God uses the spirit of confusion against those in sin. God sends terror, confusion, and frustration to destroy evil. In the final days there will be tumult, trampling, and confusion before the day of judgment. It is in chaos that evil operates. When God sends the spirit of confusion, God is demonstrating that regardless of the power of evil, the spirit of their own confusion holds their own destruction. If you are living a life of confusion with trouble at every turn, then turn to the God of peace and find rest for your life. I am Fred Myers, and this is Faith by the Numbers. It is my prayer that many will count their way to wisdom through this series and find the peace that surpasses all understanding. 1 Co 14:33a For God is not a God of confusion but of peace. Ge 1:2 The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Is 34:11 But the hawk and the porcupine shall possess it, the owl and the raven shall dwell in it. He shall stretch the line of confusion over it, and the plumb line of emptiness. Ge 11:7 Come, let us go down and there confuse their language, so that they may not understand one another’s speech.” Ex 23:27 I will send my terror before you and will throw into confusion all the people against whom you shall come, and I will make all your enemies turn their backs to you. Dt 28:20 “The Lord will send on you curses, confusion, and frustration in all that you undertake to do, until you are destroyed and perish quickly on account of the evil of your deeds, because you have forsaken me. Is 19:14 The Lord has mingled within her a spirit of confusion, and they will make Egypt stagger in all its deeds, as a drunken man staggers in his vomit. Is 22:5 For the Lord God of hosts has a day of tumult and trampling and confusion in the valley of vision, a battering down of walls and a shouting to the mountains.
