When the Angels announced to the shepherds the good news of Christ birth, notice what the Angels say. The four Gospels tell a great story of salvation and peace, but the Angels said that this message was ultimately good news of great joy.
Luke2.10 And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. 11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.
Jesus wanted us to be full of joy. John15.11 These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.
Joy and praying go together: 1Thes5.16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. 19 Do not quench the Spirit.
James1.2 Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, 3 for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness.
