The Proverbs were written that we might understand fairness (equity), and that it is the very fiber of God’s righteousness:
Unless we seek the wisdom of God, we will not understand fairness. We often take an action on whether someone has been fair to us and many judge God because they think that He has been unfair to them or others.
First, God by His nature can never be unfair to anyone although from our worldly view it may seem so. Think of all the unanswered prayers that for the lack of an answer it turned out better for you.
Secondly, we will never be fair to others unless we are walking with God.
Prov1.1 The proverbs of Solomon, son of David, king of Israel: 2 To know wisdom and instruction, to understand words of insight, 3 to receive instruction in wise dealing, in righteousness, justice, and equity…
Prov2.9 Then you will understand righteousness and justice and equity, every good path; 10 for wisdom will come into your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul…
