Church Rules Reign

This verse tells everyone that there will be plenty of time to reign with God and Christ, so why does everyone want to reign now.

Re 20:6 Blessed and holy is the one who shares in the first resurrection! Over such the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and they will reign with him for a thousand years.

When “For the Fathers Ministry” was founded, my wife and I were in 100 percent agreement. The years went by and it was necessary to form a board. I needed 7 nonprofit corporate board members and 3 accountability board members. I called and all 10 agreed to serve.

I called the “StartChurch” group and they sent me the documents. I sent the documents by email to all of the 7 board members that needed to vote on the organizational documents, and there was unanimous agreement by an email vote. We met thereafter in person and there was a unanimous agreement voice vote. No animosity, no comprise over rules and control, just Godly agreement among Godly adults on the Biblical way to organize.

What does all this mean? Well let’s look at the opposite case. God blesses Biblical adult agreement and when you see most Churches organize it takes months to agree and many compromises are needed as if it were a business deal. Godly organizations that help Churches organize already have the documents that follow the Bible and there is no need for negotiations or compromise over Church rules. God will not be bargained with. What causes such negotiations and compromises? The minds of man want “Church Rules” to reign.

The results for most Churches are that 6 out of 10 Christian children walk away from their Church and faith by the age of 15. Declining membership, declining baptisms and almost no one comes forward to receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior…so few Churches even have a new disciple group. Either God reigns or Church rules reign. You cannot serve two masters.

What is the result for “For the Fathers Ministry”? People have accepted Christ by my personal witness, people have given their life to Christ at my Bible studies, and many, especially children, have given their life to Christ at events that “For the Fathers Ministry” participates in with other parachurch ministries. None of this takes place in any Church. God reigns or Church rules reign. God blesses what God teaches.
