The unbelieving world is caught up in privilege versus inalienable rights. This is why we see groups of people striving to be set apart for certain privileges. Privilege guarantees, while inalienable rights only give you the right to earn by merit.

The unbelieving world is also all about choice. They see power in the will of their own mind. To them to be set free is to have the opportunity to indulge. The believing world believes in inalienable rights that are guaranteed by God. These rights are all that we have and government cannot usurp them and should not invent others.

With these inalienable rights, we are free to follow the calling of God. A believer understands that God sets their footsteps. Ps 37:23 The steps of a man are established by the Lord, when he delights in his way…Life is a calling and all that a believer has is from the Lord, and it is to be used in the service of others and not in indulgence of self.

Privilege and choice are about self; inalienable rights and calling are about service to both God and others.
