After the horrible events perpetrated by cowards, this is a good Psalm to remember.

Ps 64:1 Hear my voice, O God, in my complaint; preserve my life from dread of the enemy. Ps 64:2 Hide me from the secret plots of the wicked, from the throng of evildoers, Ps 64:3 who whet their tongues like swords, who aim bitter words like arrows, Ps 64:4 shooting from ambush at the blameless, shooting at him suddenly and without fear. Ps 64:5 They hold fast to their evil purpose; they talk of laying snares secretly, thinking, “Who can see them?” Ps 64:6 They search out injustice, saying, “We have accomplished a diligent search.” For the inward mind and heart of a man are deep. Ps 64:7 But God shoots his arrow at them; they are wounded suddenly. Ps 64:8 They are brought to ruin, with their own tongues turned against them; all who see them will wag their heads. Ps 64:9 Then all mankind fears; they tell what God has brought about and ponder what he has done. Ps 64:10 Let the righteous one rejoice in the Lord and take refuge in him! Let all the upright in heart exult!

Dt 10:20 You shall fear the Lord your God. You shall serve him and hold fast to him, and by his name you shall swear.

Ps 27:3 Though an army encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war arise against me, yet I will be confident.

Ps 27:3 Though an army encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war arise against me, yet I will be confident.

Ps 34:4 I sought the Lord, and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears.

God wins in the end.

Is 29:5 But the multitude of your foreign foes shall be like small dust, and the multitude of the ruthless like passing chaff. And in an instant, suddenly, Is 29:6 you will be visited by the Lord of hosts with thunder and with earthquake and great noise, with whirlwind and tempest, and the flame of a devouring fire.

Amen
