#284 Six Tasks Every Christian Must Do
I am Fred Myers the founder of For the Fathers Ministry, and this is Faith by the Numbers.
Count your way to wisdom in number two hundred eighty-four of this series, Six Tasks Every Christian Must Do.
Today the Gospel has been lost in the fog of social justice. Christians will feed the homeless, send shoes and glasses to Africa, send their children on mission trips, but almost no one will tell their neighbor the Gospel of God. It is easier to give away things or send children to do things. In a material America the thought is that things are more important. But, the Bible says that nothing helps the poor more than the Gospel. I know that this is a novel thought in our modern idea of Christianity, but Jesus told no one they were not getting their fair share, nor did He relieve anyone’s poverty. Jesus preached the Gospel of God.
Six Tasks Every Christian Must Do:
- Proclaim the good news of the Gospel to the lost.
- Proclaim the peace found in the Gospel.
- Proclaim the good news of the positive and pleasant qualities of the Gospel.
- Proclaim the salvation found in the Gospel.
- Proclaim that God reigns.
- Proclaim the liberty of theGospel.
If you think that you need to be a better speaker, or you are afraid of giving the Gospel, relax you are in good company. Listen to Paul in:
1 Co 2:1 And I, when I came to you, brothers, did not come proclaiming to you the testimony of God with lofty speech or wisdom. 1 Co 2:2 For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. 1 Co 2:3 And I was with you in weakness and in fear and much trembling, 1 Co 2:4 and my speech and my message were not in plausible words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, 1 Co 2:5 so that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.
How beautiful upon the mountain are the feet of those that proclaim the Gospel.

It is my prayer that many will count their way to wisdom through this series and find the peace that surpasses all understanding.
Is 52:7 How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace, who brings good news of happiness, who publishes salvation, who says to Zion, “Your God reigns.”
Ro 10:15 And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!” (The word “sent” is used as to proclaim liberty.)
