#164 Seven Times God Says We Will Give an Account

I am Fred Myers the founder of For the Fathers Ministry, and this is Faith by the Numbers.

Count your way to wisdom in number one-hundred-sixty-four of this series, Seven Times God Says We Will Give an Account.

How many sins have you committed and forgotten? I know that I have forgotten most of mine. My memory is not great enough to remember such a multitude. At judgment our memory will improve, because the Bible tells us that we will give an account for every word and deed. This cannot happen unless it can be recalled, therefore this will not be pleasant for the righteous and the unrighteous.

Mankind commits sin and lives as if God is not looking. The Psalms state that many say God has forgotten their sin.

Ps 10:11 He says in his heart, “God has forgotten, he has hidden his face, he will never see it.”

Seven Times God Says We Will Give an Account:

  1. Each will personally give an account to God.
  2. Every careless word spoken will be accounted for.
  3. Each will be repaid for what they have done, the righteous receive a loss of reward, and the unrighteous receive punishment.
  4. Each will have some load to bear, no one will be silent at confession.
  5. Both good and evil, all secret things will be revealed.
  6. Each will account not only for the deed but the intention as well.
  7. Recompense is payment for worthy acts, and retribution is payment for wrongdoing.

Paul tells us in Romans that each person will confess and give an account of his deeds. God searches the heart and tests the mind and gives according to our ways.

When I teach a class, I remind the class that there will be a test at the end, but I will not be the one that gives it. May your final be blessed.

It is my prayer that many will count their way to wisdom through this series and find the peace that surpasses all understanding.

Ro 14:12 So then each of us will give an account of himself to God.

Mt 12:36 I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak

Mt 16:27 For the Son of Man is going to come with his angels in the glory of his Father, and then he will repay each person according to what he has done.

Ga 6:5 For each will have to bear his own load.

Ec 12:14 For God will bring every deed into judgment, with every secret thing, whether good or evil.

1 Co 4:5 Therefore do not pronounce judgment before the time, before the Lord comes, who will bring to light the things now hidden in darkness and will disclose the purposes of the heart. Then each one will receive his commendation from God.

Re 22:12 “Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense with me, to repay each one for what he has done.
