#61 Seven Things About the Wrath of God

I am Fred Myers the founder of For the Fathers Ministry, and this is Faith by the Numbers.

Count your way to wisdom in number sixty-one of this series, Seven Things About the Wrath of God.

The world speaks against the wrath of God. They see God as being unfair. If the wrath of God did not exist, God would not exist. Yes, Christians know that love and faithfulness make up God’s essence, but to uphold His love and faithfulness, righteousness and justice must also be the very essence of who God is. It is written in:

Ps 89:14 Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne; steadfast love and faithfulness go before you.

If I were to ask Christians why God set up His throne, not many would reply for justice, but it says in:

Ps 9:7 But the Lord sits enthroned forever; he has established his throne for justice.

God must uphold his holiness, and He does so with His wrath. Furthermore, this wrath is only for the sons of disobedience. The children of God, in righteousness, will see the love of God.

Seven Things About the Wrath of God:

  1. God’s wrath has been known to everyone since the universe was created.
  2. God’s wrath falls only on the sons of disobedience.
  3. God’s wrath will exclude the unbeliever from heaven.
  4. God’s wrath will execute justice.
  5. God’s wrath will end after judgment day.
  6. God’s wrath is satisfied in the death of Jesus for Christians.
  7. God’s wrath will be executed by angels.

God’s wrath is revealed in the heavens therefore, while each of mankind is alive it stands as a merciful warning to turn and be saved. The unbeliever can turn to God and the Christian can rejoice and stand as a witness to God’s steadfast love.

It is my prayer that many will count their way to wisdom through this series and find the peace that surpasses all understanding.

Ro 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth.

Eph 5:6 Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience.

Jn 3:36 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.

Ro 12:19 Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.”

Re 15:1 Then I saw another sign in heaven, great and amazing, seven angels with seven plagues, which are the last, for with them the wrath of God is finished.

God’s wrath Ro 5:9 Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God.

God’s wrath Re 14:19 So the angel swung his sickle across the earth and gathered the grape harvest of the earth and threw it into the great winepress of the wrath of God.
