Seven Things About the Fear of the Lord

The phrase “the fear of the Lord” is a puzzling thing to many believers and unbelievers. Many understand why the unbeliever should be in fear of the Lord, but few believers understand why the Christian should be in fear. Some Bible teachers try to soften the phrase by interpreting it as “in awe of the Lord”, and this phrase can be correctly interpreted in this way, but it has an even richer meaning. Let me show seven things about “the fear of the Lord” and you will have the answer.

The Bible tells you seven times “the fear of the Lord” “is”. The “is” should be used as an equal sign. “The fear of the Lord” “is” seven things.
