#340 Seven Things About Immature Christian Adults
I am Fred Myers the founder of For the Fathers Ministry, and this is Faith by the Numbers.
Count your way to wisdom in number three hundred forty of this series, Seven Things About Immature Christian Adults.
The Apostle Paul said that he toiled and struggled with all the energy Christ powerfully worked in him. Paul needed the mighty power of Christ to do three things, proclaim, warn, and teach Christian adults. Evidently Paul found this to be one of his hardest tasks. Paul wanted Christians to stop acting and thinking like toddlers. The word for children means toddler or infantile.
Col 1:28 Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ. Col 1:29 For this I toil, struggling with all his energy that he powerfully works within me.
Seven Things About Immature Christian Adults:
- They are tossed to and fro in their thinking.
- They are carried away by every wind of doctrine.
- They are fooled by human cunning and craftiness.
- They are susceptible to lies.
- They are unskilled in the word of God.
- They are unready and unable to learn the word of God.
- They are infantile in their thinking.
Paul warns that immature adult Christians are at great risk. These warnings are still needed today. In an age when information is readily available, both truth and lies, Christian adults need scripture in their life. Not the confusion over the Bible we see today. God’s word protects you, but to be protected you need to study His word. Come and find the rest and security found in knowing the good of God.

It is my prayer that many will count their way to wisdom through this series and find the peace that surpasses all understanding.
Eph 4:14 so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes.
Heb 5:13 for everyone who lives on milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, since he is a child.
1 Co 3:1 But I, brothers, could not address you as spiritual people, but as people of the flesh, as infants in Christ. 1 Co 3:2 I fed you with milk, not solid food, for you were not ready for it. And even now you are not yet ready…
1 Co 14:20 Brothers, do not be children in your thinking. Be infants in evil, but in your thinking be mature.
