#101 Seven Things About How Long We Live
I am Fred Myers the founder of For the Fathers Ministry, and this is Faith by the Numbers.
Count your way to wisdom in number one-hundred-one of this series, Seven Things About How Long We Live.
The fountain of youth is a fool’s errand, regardless of the claims of science. The Bible clearly defines the length of life as 70-80 years. Yes, some live less, and some live longer, but 70 to 80 is still the average. Some people claim that this is only for the modern age, but they do not understand death rates in times past. There was a lower average, but only because of greater infant death. In the pre-flood age, before Noah, life was longer, but this also started to diminish over time due to original sin.
Seven Things About How Long We Live:
- Life is complete with seventy years.
- Life is extended to eighty years by reasons of strength from the Lord.
- Life has a span, the word “span” has the meaning of prideful with personal satisfaction.
- Mankind was created to work, and it is filled with toil.
- Life is a test and it is filled with trouble.
- The years are soon gone.
- It seems all too quickly our life flies away.
Ps 90:10 The years of our life are seventy, or even by reason of strength eighty; yet their span is but toil and trouble; they are soon gone, and we fly away.
Yes, they are soon gone, and they fly away. All the more reason for everyone to find forgiveness in the name of Jesus Christ. Find the joy in knowing when your days are gone your life will fly away to heaven.

It is my prayer that many will count their way to wisdom through this series and find the peace that surpasses all understanding.
