Nine Biblical Ways to Walk

I am Fred Myers the founder of For the Fathers Ministry, and this is Faith by the Numbers.

Count your way to wisdom in number nine of this series Nine Biblical Ways to Walk.

The new life as a Christian is spoken of in the Bible as a new way to walk. Being a Christian is more than saying you are a Christian. Christianity requires a newness in life. The first step in a new way to walk is repentance. Repentance means you make a 180 degree turn back toward God. You were once in rebellion and walking away from God, now you turn and walk toward God, and with God. In your former life, you walked away, having now turned, you “walk in” the things that are of the newness of life. This walk is by and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit.

Ga 5:16 But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.

Nine ways to walk:

  1. Walk in God
  2. Walk in Christ
  3. Walk in truth
  4. Walk in light
  5. Walk in wisdom
  6. Walk in love
  7. Walk in good works
  8. Walk in newness of life
  9. Walk in the fear of the Lord

It is my prayer that many will count their way to wisdom through this series, and find the peace that surpasses all understanding.

1 Th 2:12 we exhorted each one of you and encouraged you and charged you to walk in a manner worthy of God, who calls you into his own kingdom and glory.

Col 2:6 Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him

3 Jn 4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.

1 Jn 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.

Col 4:5 Walk in wisdom toward outsiders, making the best use of the time.

Eph 5:2 And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.

Eph 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

Ro 6:4 We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.

Ac 9:31 So the church throughout all Judea and Galilee and Samaria had peace and was being built up. And walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, it multiplied.
