#312 Four Beings that Satan Challenged

I am Fred Myers the founder of For the Fathers Ministry, and this is Faith by the Numbers.

Count your way to wisdom in number three hundred twelve of this series, Four Beings that Satan Challenged.

I have heard people in the Christian world say that they bind Satan. If Satan could be bound, it would have happened a long time ago. It is dangerous to believe that you can challenge Satan. Satan is only challenged under God’s protection. Not when you claim to bind him.

Satan has no problem taking on any of us, and Satan always returns at an opportune time and the opportune time is determined by obedience.

Four Beings that Satan Challenged:

  1. Satan challenged God in Heaven
  2. Satan challenged Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden
  3. Satan challenged Jesus in the wilderness
  4. Satan challenged Paul everywhere

What chance do we have? Without God, we have none and without obedience it is almost none.

I now want to use a verse from a song that I wrote entitled “Nobody Believes in the Devil Anymore”.

The Devil hides behind the good and mingles with the fun

Makes the lie so shiny it fools everyone

Ask ole Adam and his gal Eve

They traded paradise for a patch of weeds

Are you in the process of trading paradise for a metaphorical patch of weeds? Jude, the brother of Jesus, said that even the Arch Angel Michael did not rebuke Satan. Michael said the Lord rebuke you. The best way to avoid Satan is not to try and bind him, Satan is avoided by being at peace with God in obedience.

I am Fred Myers, and this is Faith by the Numbers.

It is my prayer that many will count their way to wisdom through this series and find the peace that surpasses all understanding.

Re 12:9 And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world—he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.

Ge 3:1 Now the serpent was more crafty than any other beast of the field that the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God actually say, ‘You shall not eat of any tree in the garden’?”

Mt 4:1 Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.

2 Co 12:7 So to keep me from becoming conceited because of the surpassing greatness of the revelations, a thorn was given me in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to harass me, to keep me from becoming conceited.

1 Th 2:18 because we wanted to come to you—I, Paul, again and again—but Satan hindered us.
