The Bible clearly speaks to deception…the deception that robs you of many great blessings. This deception is of the “world system” for it says there are many deceivers in the world…everyone is at risk not just children. The world wants to be your “authority of truth”, but the Bible demonstrates that Truth is of God, and as a Christian you have the responsibility to decide your “authority of truth”, and not let the world decide it for you. It is by your “authority of truth” that you will live and teach your children…it is a life and death matter. Nothing could be more important.
You must not give the “authority of truth” to those that do not have it. Christians must reclaim their “authority of truth”. Although Christianity will not be reclaiming Truth, for God has always been the “authority of truth”; you will only be reclaiming the knowledge of your blessings in the wisdom of Truth.
The term “authority of truth” best describes who or what a person relies upon to discern and determine Truth for their life. Although you would think that Christians would accept the God of the Bible as their “authority of truth”, for many Christians; this is not true. Some believe they can mix and match their “authority of truth”. If it is philosophy or science, they give it to the philosophers and the scientist. If it is economics, they give it to the maxims of finance and wealth. If it is political, they give it to their party affiliation. If it is social, they give it to their peers. All of these sources have many things to offer, but Truth is not one of them.
Many Christians even believe that they have within their own abilities the ability for determining the standard for Truth. I am not referring to the mere truthfulness of some event or issue in life that pertains to such mundane questions that answer which car is the best car in its class. I am referring to your source for the standard of Truth; the Truth that is absolute and exclusive. The issue of the best car in its class is a preference issue and too many times people confuse preferences and facts with Truth and in doing so there is great deception and fraud. Confusing preferences and facts with Truth is a common failure, and the world plays on your confusion to your detriment.
When Christians decide to use the God of the Bible as their “authority of truth”, in all matters, the tensions between faith and life will be resolved.
