A Man and His Own Mind

God understands that belief is based on faith and faith starts with trust: God wants to reason it over with each of us.

Is 1:18 Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool.

It is in pride that man wants to reason in his own mind.

Pr 28:26 Whoever trusts in his own mind is a fool, but he who walks in wisdom will be delivered.

God is not only willing to help us seek wisdom, but generously gives us wisdom just for the act of seeking. How many unbelievers have asked God for wisdom? How many have drawn near to God with an open mind?

Jas 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.

Jas 4:8 Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

God promises that His burden of Kingship is easy and His requirements are light.

Mt 11:30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

When man states unbelief in God, it is not from the mind of God, for that person has never sought God with an open mind, it is from the mind of man.

Why? God tells us why.

Ps 10:4 In the pride of his face the wicked does not seek him; all his thoughts are, “There is no God.”
