The word “garland” is used only twice in the Bible. Both times it is used in Proverbs and demonstrates that wisdom has an outward beauty that can be seen. The wisdom of following the instructions of parents has an outward beauty. It cannot be denied that these words are true for the outward appearance of children’s college graduation pictures and the mug shots of criminals are very different. The truth of these scriptures is not written only as a metaphor; they are actually true.

Pr 1:8 Hear, my son, your father’s instruction, and forsake not your mother’s teaching, Pr 1:9 for they are a graceful garland for your head and pendants for your neck.

Pr 4:9 She will place on your head a graceful garland; she will bestow on you a beautiful crown.”

You look good wearing Heavenly wisdom.
